Treasure Harbor Preschool

Where kids learn to Treasure God! In Treasure Harbor Preschool, we want each child to learn that Jesus loves them and so do we. We also want them to start to love God’s Word and to look forward to the fun and creative ways our teachers are going to bring God’s Word to them each week.

What To Expect at Treasure Harbor Preschool

A Treasure Harbor leader will meet you at your child’s room to receive your child and any other items. Please check in and note any information that will help them in caring for your child (i.e. potty breaks, special needs, etc). You will be given a number that has been assigned to your child (with the exception of the 4-yr-old Dolphins class). Should your child need you during the service, their number will appear on the number board located to the right of the platform in the Worship Center. The number also serves as a safety precaution when you are picking up your child. (See Pick-up Procedures for more details)

The children will learn a Bible story that emphasizes the theme and focus of the lesson. They will be encouraged to participate in fun games or crafts that reinforce what they have learned, and allow them to creatively express themselves. Our focus is always on showing kid’s God’s love.

What do I need to bring for my child?

If your child needs a diaper bag, please be sure to include the following items:

1. Two or three disposable diapers. No cloth diapers please.
2. A complete change of clothes, in case your child needs clean clothes.

Saying Goodbye

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick goodbye and enjoy the worship service. As you know, it is very normal for little ones to cry when the parents leave, but it does not last long, and the separation becomes easier over time. Our well-trained Treasure Harbor leaders will create an interest in a toy or an activity for your child and give assurances to your child that you will be returning after the service is completed. If your child continues to cry and is upset for more than 10 minutes, we will be sure to notify you. Feel free to check on your child anytime during the worship service. However, please do so discreetly, so as not to cause a disruption in your child’s play.

Pick-up Procedures:

When you are picking up your child, please be sure to have the number card given to you when you dropped off your child (with the exception of the Dolphins). Your child’s leader will expect the same person to drop off and pick up each child unless special instructions are given at check in. Please make sure that all your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time. Items not claimed after one month are donated to a charitable organization.

What is the health policy?

To ensure the safety and health of all the children and staff, we ask that only well children are brought to the preschool. Please refrain from bringing your child to the classroom if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: fever, diarrhea, runny nose if there are signs of infection, excessive coughing, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, questionable rash/open sores, lice infestation, or red/seeping eyes. Thank you for helping us protect the health of our youngest members!

Snacks

Special snacks will be delivered by our Snack Chef. Please notify your child’s leader at the time of drop off if there are any allergies or special instructions regarding food or drink.
