Baby and child dedications are a special moment where parents and our church family come together to make a lifelong promise: to raise children to know and follow Jesus. It’s more than a cute ceremony — it’s a meaningful commitment.
What This Means for Parents
As parents, you’ll commit to:
Following Jesus and being part of a church family.
Teaching your child about God’s Word at home and through church.
Living out the gospel — showing your kids that you need Jesus too.
Surrounding your family with people who will help you on this journey.
You’ll also write a short letter to your child to read on stage. This might include your hopes for them, a Bible verse, prayers, or a few sweet words about who they are.
What This Means for the Church
Our church family will commit to:
Loving and supporting your child as they grow.
Praying for and encouraging your family.
Walking alongside you as you raise your kids to know Jesus.
How It Works
On Dedication Sunday:
Families stand together on stage.
Parents read their letter to their child.
Both parents and the church make a verbal commitment to these promises.
