youth MINISTRY TRACK
WHO IS THIS INTERNSHIP TRACK FOR?
As a potential Youth Intern at NWH, one must meet the following qualifications:
Loves and follows Jesus
Consistent devotional life
Some youth ministry experience
A coachable, flexible, and humble spirit
(A candidate also must meet the basic qualifications of a NWH Intern, listed at the bottom of this page.)
What does it look like?
Key Job Responsibilities:
Planning and executing church-wide youth events, studies, and gatherings
Summer camp planning, prepping, and executing
Assisting with middle school and high school social media accounts (as needed)
Various administrative tasks as needed
Attending and contributing to brainstorming and planning for the future of NWH youth ministry
Meet Cason Brownell!
Cason and Allyn-Ashley grew up in Central California, and have been married for almost 3 years, and parents for one year, adding Iver to the mix in 2025. They both went to The Masters University to study the Bible, and play sports, and during the summers serve at Hume Lake Christian Camps. It is there that Cason felt the calling to Youth Ministry and fell in love with pursuing students to Christ. The Brownells came to Northwest Hills in 2025 to do just that! Cason loves skating, surfing, and snowboarding… or pretty much any board under his feet that allows him to go faster than he can with his legs. Allyn-Ashley loves being a mama, and wifey and reminding Cason to not get hurt in his hobbies. The Brownells have a big ole heart for seeing students come to Jesus in their youth, and discipling them to make disciples that make disciples for the name of Jesus to go out to our city, country, and World!
As a Youth Ministry Intern, you’ll work closely with Cason and the team to invest in the next generation—creating spaces where students can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and be sent out to live it. From Sunday mornings to midweek nights, you’ll gain hands-on experience discipling students, building meaningful relationships, and helping shape a ministry that is passionate about seeing young people love Jesus, live like Him, and make Him known.
