Laura

Laura grew up in the Rogue Valley in a family who loves Jesus. After high school she studied at OSU and attended NW Hills while at school. You may have met her greeting!

She was very involved with CRU ministries on campus. Throughout her time at Oregon State, Laura grew in her love for ministry and her heart for the world. After graduation she spent a year on Stint with CRU ministering to students in the Middle East. God gave her increased vision for His work in the region and she grew excited about what the Lord could do through a young generation of Arab students coming to know and love Jesus. She decided to stay for a second Stint year, which further deepened her heart for the campus and city. Early in her second year, Laura sensed the Lord's call and invitation to join CRU as full-time staff. After a year Stateside dedicated to raising support and training, God placed her back in the same city with the same ministry she had worked with during her Stint time.

Since returning to the Middle East long-term, Laura has diligently focused on her Arabic studies and can now share with the students in their heart language. She has seen much growth in the 3 years of full-time ministry. Local believing students are eager to share Christ with their classmates and to disciple other believers. Laura has had the joy of walking with students seeking regular Christian community. Prayer continues to be the foundation of their student-led movement as Laura and the students trust the Lord to reach their campuses and their nation.

Laura has been blessed to see two of the students she mentored feel the Lord inviting them into ministry. They joined her team as interns, chasing after God's heart and sharing the gospel alongside her.
