  • Congratulations to Allen & Suzanne Flaming on the birth of their daughter, Rachel Camillia, on June 23!
  • Tanya Beckman leads volunteers Carolan Pyron and Vicki Lee in hosting the Love INC Linen Closet. They organize and store all the sheets, blankets, pillows and towels donated to Love INC and deliver them to families coming out of homelessness or who have fallen on hard times. They distribute linens to as many as 20 families each month.
  • In late August, our  Family Foundations and Growing Families Interaction Groups (with daily messages from Pastor Curt) put on the Live Like Jesus Vacation Bible School at the Acorn center in Corvallis. Thirty-five children participated during the week! The lead teachers were Wendy Evans, Danielle Villani, and Loren Wisniewski.
  • During the first week of August, 28 middle school students from our church enjoyed fun and spiritual growth at Camp Tadmor. Student Ministries Pastor, Randal Goodman, and Northwest hills volunteers Andrew Haberman and Peter Woekel served as camp counselors for our middle schoolers during the week.
  • James and Jessi Furlo once again served as coordinators of Summer Sunday BBQs. They did a fantastic job ordering and organizing food and supplies, and guiding the BBQ teams each week.
  • Our congregation once again gave abundantly to the Annual School Supply Drive for Teachers. Check out next month's newsletter for the final details about our donations and the upcoming Give-Away-Day!
  • Twelve energetic Northwest Hills groups and ministry teams took a turn setting-up, cooking, serving, and cleaning up our Summer Sunday BBQs. they are the Elders Team, Senior Fellowship, Wagner/Stubbs Life Group, LINKS, Worship Arts Ministry, Children's Ministry, Grad & Career, Young Marrieds, Growing Families, and College 242. Great job, BBQ teams!
  • Beach Olympics was once again a smashing success! 128 middle school and high school students participated in this year's full day of events at Ona Beach. Twenty-five fabulous Northwest Hills Student Ministries adult volunteers made it all happen. After dinner, two students shared their stories of coming to know Christ and Pastor Randal gave a message from Scripture. Two students made first-time decisions to receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
