October Clips

  • The people of Northwest Hills contributed more than 2700 items to the School Supply Drive, plus almost $1,900 in cash. Overall, approximately 375 teachers participated in the event (47 were new hires) from all over Benton County. And about 85 volunteers worked to organize the activities. This year’s fabulous Northwest Hills School Supply Drive Team was led by Dave & Lori Stubbs.
  • 65 adult and teen volunteers from 5 different Corvallis churches met at Northwest Hills for Kidology Training in order to sharpen their children’s ministry skills and to fellowship over ice cream sundaes. This month’s topics were understanding kids’ culture and using puppets to illustrate lessons. Next month’s meeting is at Suburban Christian at 6pm on October 21 and will focus on developing relationships and leading games.
  • And a big thank-you to Lisa Stewart, Michelle Ower, and Shelly Gruver for hosting the Children’s Ministry ice cream sundae social!
