Treasure Harbor Nursery –

Where kids learn to Treasure God!
Our goal in the Treasure Harbor Nursery is to teach kids that church is a fun place with adults who really care about you.

What To Expect at Treasure Harbor Nursery

A Treasure Harbor leader will meet you at your child’s room to receive your child and any other items. Please check in and note any information that will help them in caring for your child (i.e. feeding times, sleeping times, special needs, etc). You will be given a number that has been assigned to your child. Should your child need you during the service, their number will appear on the number board located to the right of the platform in the Worship Center. The number also serves as a safety precaution when you are picking up your child. (See Pick-up Procedures for more details)

At Treasure Harbor, we believe that even our littlest ones can learn! So we use songs, play time, and supervised activities based on the child’s learning level to reinforce the message that God loves them and that church is a fun place filled with people who love them too.

Tips on Saying Goodbye

After you have completed the check in process, simply wave a quick goodbye and enjoy the worship service. As you know, it is very normal for little ones to cry when the parents leave, but it usually does not last long, and the separation becomes easier over time. Our well-trained Treasure Harbor leaders will create an interest in a toy or an activity for your child and give assurances to your child that you will be returning after the service is completed. If your child continues to cry and is upset for more than 10 minutes, we will be sure to notify you. Feel free to check on your child anytime during the worship service. However, please do so discreetly, so as not to cause a disruption in your child’s play.

Pick-up Procedures

When you are picking up your child, please be sure to have the number card given to you when you dropped off your child. Your child’s leader will expect the same person to drop off and pick up each child unless special instructions are given at check in. Please make sure that all your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time. Items not claimed after one month are donated to a charitable organization.

What if I am a nursing mother?

Just off the main sanctuary, we have a “family room.” If you would feel more comfortable, you are welcome to stay with your baby in this comfortable room and view the service on the large screen TV.

What about Snacks?

Snacks are provided for the children once they have graduated to the Starfish class (approximately 1-yr-old). Snack items include: water and cheerios, animal crackers, graham crackers, etc. If your child has an allergy, please inform the Treasure Harbor leader when you check in your child.

What do I need to bring for my child?

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please be sure to include the following items:
1. Two or three disposable diapers. No cloth diapers please.
2. Pacifier or other comfort item labeled with your child’s name, should your child need something familiar.
3. A complete change of clothes, in case your child needs clean clothes.
4. A bottle of formula, juice, or water (please include specific instructions and label each item).

What is the health policy?

To ensure the safety and health of all the children and staff, we ask that only well babies and toddlers are brought to the nursery. Please refrain from bringing your child to the nursery if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: fever, diarrhea, runny nose if there are signs of infection, excessive coughing, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, questionable rash/open sores, lice infestation, or red/seeping eyes. Thank you for helping us protect the health of our youngest members!
