2006: Northwest Hills member Dave Snider used his knowledge and expertise to assist the Elders Team in creating a Master Facility
Strategy and Roadmap to guide our church in “critical facility investments.”
2009: a design group of Northwest Hills
members worked with an architect to produce plans, drawings and specifications for a new multi-purpose ministry building to begin meeting our immediate and long-term facilities needs.
2010: we were waiting for the City of Corvallis to approve our request to modify our Conditional Use Permit so that we might construct that new ministry building on our campus. That request was eventually granted.
Now we’re moving forward toward construction of this very important ministry resource!
At this point, cash is the key (or at least cash and pledges of cash). After years of evaluating, strategizing, researching, planning, designing, and obtaining approvals, the only barrier to building this very important facility is the money required to pay for it.
We’ll be able to begin construction when we have in hand contributions, or pledges to contribute, in the amount of $750,000 (half the total cost of constructing and fully outfitting the new building). A statistical evaluation indicates that our church family has the means, over a not-too-lengthy period of time, to supply the total financial need. However, that will only happen if most every Northwest Hills household contributes according its ability, with many in our church family giving sacrificially, and with some who have extra discretionary financial resources making significant contributions for this project.
Together, we can provide this resource for this generation of ministry and beyond. To join the team that’s making it happen, make a pledge and become a contributor!

Fast facts about our first project to renew and modernize our aging and out-of-date facilities for now and the next generation of ministry at Northwest Hills:
- A movable wall between two 1,500 square foot rooms in the new building will allow us, when it is desirable, to create a 3,000 square foot room (double the size of D2) for regular or special ministry use by our children's, student (middle school and high school), college and adult ministries.
- A service kitchen in the building will enable us to support community outreach and church activities in much greater ways than our current small and limited kitchen permits us to do.
- Building: A 6,7775 SF building with one 1,250 SF meeting room, and two 1,500 SF meeting rooms that are able to combine to 3,000SF
- Purpose: Multi-purpose rooms to accommodate medium-size and large-size groups, for spiritual growth activities and community outreach.
- Contractor: T Gerding Construction of Corvallis
- Cost: $1.2 - 1.5 million, including furnishings, equipment, and service kitchen.
- Funding: Solely from contributions by our congregation to our Now's the Time fund.
