God has given us a wonderful holiday gift this year: the opportunity and privilege of sending our five from our church family to serve as new long-term global missionaries!
The Elders have opened a special GO Offering fund from now through Christmas Day to receive contributions for both the relocation expenses and the travel expenses of two short-term teams that we will send in 2012 to assist our missionaries already serving in Mongolia and Uganda. The total goal for the offering is $30,000 and I encourage everyone in our congregation to contribute in some way as a Christmas gift to God and to these missionaries.
Another special Christmas gift to both give and receive this year is one of our Christmas Eve services. Attend a service to receive the blessing of worship as we give honor to Christ, but also give by inviting others - especially those who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus or who do not have a church home - to come along with you to one of these "nights before Christmas: services. Those you invite may well go home that evening knowing Jesus in a way that they have never know Him before. Christmas Eve invitation cards for all to use are available at the Worship Center and church office. Take some as soon as possible to give to your friends and family members.
On behalf of all the Northwest Hills staff, Merry Christmas! We love you and thank God for the gift of you friendship to us, and for the privilege of serving Christ with you.
