April Specials

We have a full schedule of great activities at Northwest Hills this month, all bookended by two special events.

On the first Sunday of the month, April 3, we’ll hold a One Family gathering at 6:00 p.m. in our Worship Center. The purpose of the gathering is two-fold: first, to pray for our congregation, our Easter outreach, and “Now’s the Time”; second, to welcome our new Pastor of Adult Ministries, Josh Carstensen, and his wife, Meagan. Dessert will be served in conjunction with that welcome (what better combination could we have than prayer and dessert!), so come on out for a meaningful and fun One Family get-together.

On the last Sunday of the month, April 24, we’ll celebrate the resurrection of Jesus in three Easter worship services, at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. Easter, of course, is a special day for those of us who have experienced Christ’s saving power, but it’s also a great time for outreach to our friends and neighbors who do not yet know Him. They are often very open to attending a church service on Easter Sunday, but are unsure about where to attend and whether they will be welcome and comfortable in an unfamiliar congregation. Your invitations to them will make a positive difference, as they have on past Easter Sundays when a number of our friends have not only been present with us, but also made first-time decisions to put their faith in Christ.

As you are making your plans for Easter Sunday, remember also that our Treasure Harbor (Children’s Ministry) classes will feature special Easter activities for all children who are in attendance, and our Student Ministries (for middle school and high school students) will hold their own special Easter worship celebration at 9:30 a.m. in our Student Ministries Center. Additionally, delicious Easter morning refreshments will be available for everyone in our main campus courtyard between the worship services.

All in all, that’s a very good way to begin and end a month. And there are great things happening at Northwest Hills in the middle of April too. (See inside this newsletter for more on that.) Thanks for making this a special church family!
