A September Note from Elder Don Gannon

This September brings a time of transition at Northwest Hills. After more than 12 years serving together, Northwest Hills will be continuing on in ministry without Senior Pastor Andy Buchanan. The decision to make a Senior Pastor transition developed through a season of prayer, discussion and fasting. Pastor Andy has served faithfully and above reproach, and we are blessed to be sending him off in a spirit of love and unity. And, we can be in prayerful anticipation and even excitement regarding God’s leading to the next Senior Pastor and the next era of ministry for Northwest Hills.

During this time of transition the vision and direction at Northwest Hills remain constant. We desire to be “One Family” united in Christ, with “One Passion” to love Jesus with all our heart, mind and strength, and to reach out to “All People” with the love of Christ.

We are blessed at Northwest Hills with an awesome Assistant Pastoral and Office Staff. The Pastoral staff has developed a schedule for leading and teaching through the book of Ephesians this fall, beginning September 8. The entire Northwest Hills staff is rallying together to keep God’s ministry here on track during the transition. Many Community Groups will be starting back up in September. There are new groups forming and existing groups with room for new members. Community Groups remain a key to living out One Family, One Passion and All People at Northwest Hills.

September also brings transitions related to Student Ministry schedules and Sunday morning programs at Northwest Hills. It is a season of change at Northwest Hills, and with change comes opportunity. Let’s individually listen for God’s voice and discern how we might serve Him in a greater way this fall!
