A June Note from Pastor Andy
"Community" has been an emphasis for us this 2012-2013 ministry year, so what better way to begin summer than with two church community opportunities that are easy to attend and enjoy.
First, let’s serve together on Saturday, June 22, at our All-Church Workday. Our buildings and grounds are very much in need of some tender loving care, so come on out for a morning of cleaning up, sprucing up, beautifying and repairing our facilities. Second, let’s share an easy-going Sunday lunch together on June 30, immediately after the 10:45am worship service (about 12:15pm). Meet on the lawn for chicken and beverages (already prepared and waiting for us), and salads and desserts (brought by each of us to share with everyone).
Beyond June, plan to participate in any or all of our traditional big-four Northwest Hills summer community events: the all-church Beach Campout (July 11-14), Children's Ministry Staycation for the whole family (July 22-26), the all-church BBQ & Swim at Osborn Aquatic Center (August 11), and our Student Ministries Beach Olympics (August 17). These four annual events are fresh every year, and well worth not only attending but helping to make happen. For some extra fun and rewarding ministry, volunteer to assist with any of these exceptional community opportunities.
Life is better when we live it in community. See you this summer!
